What do you suggest to offset the loss of the factory recovery / tow points? I realize that's a non issue if you are using an after market frame mount bumper, but doing this with the factory bumper in place sacrifices those hooks.

Kevin does a fantastic job as an installer and instructor. Really appreciate the fact that he shows the types of connections and clips and how the disengage to remove and reinstall the parts. Bumper looks fantastic, I just got a 2022 frontier and this is the low profile factory type of look that I was searching for. I’ll most likely pull the trigger on it before the snow hits (cause that’s what gets me every year). Thanks for the great video.

I just picked up a 2022 frontier and this looks like a great idea to store some of the gear I bring. I went from an 8’ bed superduty to the 41/2’ bed so things are a bit more crammed in there now.

I watched a video an owner installed the OEM roof rack without drilling but of course it had the OEM rails but it made more wind noise than non-oem roof racks/rails

Do you guys do shop recommendations?

It boggles my mind that even the new Trailhunter, overlanding oriented toyota models require you to drill into the roof to install a full rack. They couldnt just have another hidden set of mount points further up or better yet, come with a full roof rack. You purchase a $80K suv purpose built from the factory for overlanding which is sonnonymous with rooftop tents, yet you only get a half rack. Who are you going to trust to do the drilling and what's your plans when they mess up?

Just installed this bumper, it fit terribly. there’s a reason the video skips the part where they actually put the bumper onto the truck. Good video but not a good product. Do not buy one

What about the ground cable that should be on the front of the oem skid?? Did you just remove it?

Aftermarket suppliers take note. This is how to do an install video. RTV sealing the mounts and applying the paint protection film explained in detail. Everything clearly explained in detail. I may go with Victory based on the quality of these instructions alone.

What would be even better is a separator and locking doors, some states require ammo and guns separated while transporting other then your CCW.

Do you have a vid or have anything for a drivers pillar grab handle. They have one for the passenger side. I don't know why Chevy didn't do one for the driver side for the trail boss. Hmmm.

Are these are rated to handle the GVWR, full vehicle weight, or partial weight? I'd feel nervous trusting something bolted, especially after years of rust and wear....

Thanks for those very clear instructions. I installed the kit today. I was able to disconnect the white wiring connectors (the one on the right) relatively easily. The blue connectors were hard to disconnect. As @igrowine suggested, I removed all the nuts, supported the monitor face down, and then used a small flat blade screwdriver to push in the tabs on the blue connectors. Once the monitors were removed, the install went ahead without a hitch. Thanks for the quality product.

Ya'll must have changed your lights. Mine are rectangular and mounted to the outside.
